A vintage Beswick Ware leaf-shaped dish, c.1930s, measuring approximately 32.1 x 13.7 x 4.8cm / 12.65 x 5.4 x 1.9in (max), in cream glaze with handpainted runner bean and orange-red flower decoration; the base bears a gilt "Beswick / Ware. / ENGLAND" script mark together with a black handpainted number. There are some craze lines in the glaze (mainly to the upper surface), together with age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface, some wear and marking to the painted decoration, and marking to the foot; there are various manufacturing imperfections including small lumps, pinholes and marks in the glaze (including a dark brown mark to the underside near the leaf tip), and a short fault line to the foot.
