A c.1950s-60s vintage Beswick pottery honey pot with lid, in the form of a traditional beehive with moulded bees (including bee-shaped knop to the lid) and flower, finished in pale cream / honey glaze with handpainted detail to the bees and flower, measuring approximately 9cm (3.55in) in height including lid, 5.9cm (2.3in) in height excluding lid, and 8.7cm (3.45in) in diameter at the base, which bears a black transfer "BESWICK / B / ENGLAND" stamp together with a brown painted number "15". There is slight age wear including slight scratching and abrasion to the surface, a couple of tiny nibbles to the lid edge, slight staining to the unglazed flange of the lid, and marking to the foot; there are some minor imperfections in the moulding including a few tiny glazed-over vertical fault lines to the upper interior of the pot, a couple of tiny glazed-over nibbles to the base edge, and a tiny glazed-over chip to the external surface of the lid; there are some tiny specks and other minor imperfections in the glaze.
