A 1930s BEL Cream Maker (Jubilee Model) with mottled green Bakelite (strictly speaking, probably urea formaldehyde) upper section and moulded glass base. The cream maker measures approximately 20cm (7.85in) tall when the handle is fully down and 9.8cm (3.85in) in diameter at the base; the handle is marked "BEL / CREAM MAKER / MADE IN ENGLAND" to one side and "EMPIRE / JUBILEE MODEL / PAT. NO. 448775GB" to the other. The surface of the plastic is rather worn at the base, and there is some nibbling to the lower edge around the screw thread. The mechanism seems to work OK; however, there is some verdigris to the metal parts and some oxidation to the handle, and therefore this is sold as a collector's item and not for use (although the verdigris may clean off). The glass base, however, is in good condition apart from the occasional tiny scratch.
