"Beecham's Help to Scholars" (New and Enlarged Edition, Jan. 1926), published by Thos. Beecham, St. Helens, Lancashire (of Beecham's Pills fame). 16-page booklet, measuring approximately 10.2 x 13.9cm (4 x 5.45in), containing arithmetical tables and signs, weights and measures, important historical dates and other similarly useful information. There is an advertisement for Beecham's Pills on the back cover, but little advertising within. There is a heavy vertical crease down the middle of the whole booklet, together with other creases, age wear, marking, fading and discoloration; the staples are rusty, and the original owner's name and address ("Joan Jewell Wood-Leigh / Bugle) is written in faded ink on the front cover.
