Bakelite tobacco jar with moulded design, c.1930s

A c.1930s tobacco jar in mottled brown Bakelite, measuring approximately 11.5cm tall (max) and 8.25cm in diameter at the base.  There is a moulded design of tobacco leaves around the base of the jar and the edge of the lid, which is also moulded with the word "Tobacco" at the centre; the base of the jar is marked "BRITISH MADE".  The surface of the jar is somewhat dull with several scratches, marks and general age wear; there are also two cracks to the edge of the lid, together with a large chip to the foot.
