Arts and Crafts pink opal glass pendant light shade with fig and ivy leaf design, c.1900-20

An early electric pendant lampshade / light shade in pale pink opal glass, c.1900-20, of five-sided crimped pattern with an Arts and Crafts-inspired transfer design of figs and garlands of ivy leaves, measuring approximately 14.6cm (5.75in) tall and 13.3cm (5.25in) across at the base.  The lampholder hole measures approximately 2.7cm (1.05in) in diameter, and is thus slightly smaller than standard size; the shade is thus unlikely to fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder but may fit its metal equivalent.  There is some age wear and fading / discoloration to the transfer design, together with one or two nibbles and a few patches of roughness to the base edge, occasional light surface scratches, and slight roughness around the lampholder hole (not of course visible when the shade is in use); there are numerous tiny air bubbles and other minor manufacturing imperfections in the glass.
