Hardcover (blue cloth boards with silver title to spine) with original pictorial dustwrapper, 129pp plus title, contents and acknowledgements pages and illustrations, measuring approximately 12.7 x 19.1 x 1.8cm (5 x 7.5 x 0.7in). One of a series of informative books for young people. "Money is a subject that for some unaccountable reason has usually been left out of the school curriculum... This book, written by a former bank official and a very well-known writer for young people, attempts to correct this omission." The dustjacket is discoloured with various marks including those left by old yellowed sticky tape to the edges of the flaps, together with age wear including creasing, slight tearing, bumping to edges and slight loss to the base of the spine; the boards likewise have old yellowed sticky tape marks together with other slight marks, discoloration to the upper and lower edges, and slight bumping to edges and corners; the rear endpaper is missing, and the inside covers and remaining endpaper are discoloured with marks including old yellowed sticky tape marks to the inside covers, library codes in pencil and ink, and a rubbed-out old pencilled price; there is slight discoloration to the pages together with occasional marks (including library codes in pencil and ink to the reverse of the title page and blue ink staining to the bottom corners of some pages), wear and bumping to edges and corners, occasional corner creases and slight reading wear.
