A miniature pocket hairbrush, c.1900-20, with plated metal back with Art Nouveau design and light brown bristles, complete with its original open-ended card slipcase with label (the case measures approximately 7.9 x 2 x 2cm / 3.1 x 0.8 x 0.8in, the brush fitting tightly inside). There is some corrosion and lifting / loss of plating to the back (especially to the edges), and slight wear to the bristles (of which a few are loose); the label on the case is tatty, discoloured and partly torn off, whilst the case itself has some surface wear and marking. It nevertheless retains its appeal as a miniature piece, and must be a rare survivor since it was evidently cheaply produced and not intended to last.
