An elegantly shaped Art Deco pendant lampshade, c.1930s, in white flaked glass with small orange flecks, measuring approximately 15cm (5.9in) in height and 11.5cm (4.55in) in diameter at the base. The glass, which is moulded in two layers, is thicker and heavier than is usual with shades of this size, and has a glossy surface both inside and out. The lampholder hole is of standard size for this type of shade (approximately 2.9cm / 1.15in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. The lower edge of the shade has a small shallow chip together with some roughness and nibbling, whilst there are the usual nibbles around the lampholder hole (not visible in use); there are some tiny specks of paint and other slight marks to the surface, whilst the glass contains several small air bubbles and other manufacturing irregularities.
