A small pendant lampshade of distinctively Art Deco shape, c.1930s, in pale yellow finely flaked glass (shiny to the exterior) with gilt decoration; there is a pleasing contrast between the fine flakes and the clear veins, and thus it looks especially lovely when lit! The shade measures approximately 12.4cm (4.9in) tall, 11.9cm (4.7in) in diameter (excluding the "fins") and 13.6cm (5.35in) diagonally across (i.e. including the "fins"); the lampholder hole is of standard size (approximately 2.9cm / 1.15in in diameter), and thus should fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. There is some wear to the gilt in places; there is some roughness and nibbling to the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is in use) together with slight manufacturing roughness to the lower edge, and there are some minor manufacturing imperfections in the glass.
