Art Deco pale pink flake glass lampshade, c.1930s (SOLD)

A c.1930s lampshade of distinctively Art Deco shape, in pale pink finely flaked glass (shiny to the exterior) with gilt decoration, measuring approximately 12cm (4.7in) tall and 13.5cm (5.3in) wide.  The lampholder hole is of standard size (approximately 2.9cm / 1.15in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder.  There are a few very small chips together with some nibbling and roughness to the lower edges, together with the usual slight roughness around the lampholder hole (not visible in use); there is considerable wear to the gilt together with slight marking to the surface, and there are some minor manufacturing irregularities in the glass.
