A c.1930s pendant lampshade / light shade, typical of those originally used in many ordinary homes of that era, in white flaked glass with orange and clear veining, measuring approximately 13cm (5.1in) in height and 14.5cm (5.7in) in diameter. The lampholder hole is of standard size for this type of shade (approximately 3cm / 1.2in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. The lower edge of the shade is somewhat rough with a couple of chips and several nibbles, whilst there are the usual nibbles around the lampholder hole (not visible in use); there are some manufacturing irregularities including a spot of green glass near the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung) and some small air bubbles, and there is some scratching and marking to the surface of the glass (including a few specks of old paint).
