A 1930s eight-sided Art Deco pendant lampshade / light shade, in amber / gold glass with glossy exterior and frosted interior (with faint arch-shaped sections in a somewhat worn or imperfectly applied crystalline finish to alternate sides), measuring approximately 13.7cm (5.4in) in height and 14.5cm (5.7in) across at the base. The lampholder hole is very slightly smaller than standard size for this type of shade (about 2.8cm / 1.1in in diameter), and thus the shade may or may not be found to fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder (some very careful filing to the edges of the hole may therefore be needed). There is a large shallow chip together with the usual nibbling around the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung), whilst there are a few very tiny nibbles to the base edge, a few small marks to the interior near the top, and some surface wear including a few light scratches and scuffs; there are some air bubbles and other manufacturing imperfections in the glass.
