A late Art Deco glass hanging bowl (or "flycatcher") lampshade / light shade of typically 1940s style (or perhaps early 1950s), in mint green with frosted plain glass to the centre, frosted and clear bands and gilt banding and decoration, measuring approximately 30cm (11.8in) in diameter and 12.8cm (5.05in) deep excluding hooks. This shade comes complete with three original chromed metal chains (each about 35cm / 13.8in long) and an original triple ceiling hook with old cream paint finish to the exposed side. There is some surface wear to the shade including occasional scratches and scuffs, slight to moderate wear to the gilt, and some marks, whilst the green finish is somewhat mottled and blotchy to much of the interior; there is some manufacturing roughness to the edge together with numerous nibbles and small chips, whilst there are some imperfections in the glass including occasional air bubbles. The hooks are somewhat rusty, and there is some rust spotting to the chains, whilst the painted finish of the ceiling hook is worn and discoloured with considerable rust spotting showing through the paint.
