An especially pretty c.1930s vintage Art Deco hanging bowl (or "flycatcher") lampshade / light shade, in pink, white and clear mottled flake glass with shiny finish (moulded in two layers, and comparatively heavy for its size), measuring approximately 28cm (11in) in diameter and 13.5cm (5.3in) deep excluding hooks. This shade is supplied with a set of three reproduction brass hooks; there are no chains included, but suitable chains can easily be found in any good ironmonger's shop or DIY store. There is a star-shaped crack to the inner layer of glass to the side of the shade (the longest branch of which is about 3cm / 1.2in long), together with surface wear including scratching, scuffing, abrasion and slight marking, whilst there are some small chips together with nibbling and roughness to the edges of the rim; there are some manufacturing imperfections including lines and numerous air bubbles in the glass, together with a few areas of frosting to the otherwise shiny surface (mainly around the hook holes).
