A stylish Art Deco diamante brooch or pin, probably dating from the 1920s, and measuring approximately 8 x 3.8cm (3.15 x 1.5in) at its widest points. The sparkling diamante stones are mounted in a distinctively shaped piece of curved black plastic (a pattern of very fine lines is visible to the rear surface) with incised line detail picked out in silver. The brass pin fixed to the back measures approximately 4.7cm (1.85in) in length; please note that there is no cap or butterfly stud supplied to cover the end of the pin (the purchaser may wish to procure such a cap or stud to ensure safety and security in wearing!) Although it bears no maker's marks, it is clearly a good quality piece of Deco costume jewellery, and remains in good condition, with all stones intact.
