A bulbous crested china vase by Arcadian, early 20th century, measuring approximately 4.8cm (1.9in) in height and 3cm (1.2in) in diameter at the foot, with crest incorporating the arms of Stratford upon Avon and Shakespeare. There is a printed mark to the base incorporating a crown, a rose, and the words "A&S / STOKE-ON-TRENT", with the name "ARCADIAN" below. The narrow opening has a very short hairline crack and a small chip to the inner edge, together with some wear to the gilt rim; there is also slight wear to the transfer, together with a small area of abrasion and several tiny spot marks to the surface.
