A porcelain wall-hanging stoup for holy water with crucifix attached, probably late Victorian, in white glaze with gilt decoration and a red-painted heart to represent the Sacred Heart of Jesus, measuring approximately 19.3cm (7.6in) tall, 10.4cm (4.1in) wide and 5cm (1.95in) deep; the interior of the stoup is marked with an impressed "2". There is an old (rather worn and discoloured) hanging ribbon attached, which could be easily replaced if so desired. It is not a particularly good-quality piece, having various manufacturing irregularities in the moulding and glaze (the back, for instance, does not lie quite flat, whilst most of the back and parts of the figure of Christ are unglazed); there is some wear to the gilt, together with one or two nibbles and slight roughness to the back edges.
