A very old (exact age unknown, although we believe pre-1900) miniature / doll's house pottery jug, standing approximately 3.9cm (1.55in) tall, in marbled brown and yellow clay, glazed all over apart from the base (which has the number "2" written on it in pencil). There are numerous chips to the irregularly-shaped upper edge, together with age wear / marking to the foot and fine crazing throughout. (Please note that the UK 50 pence piece which appears in two of the photos is shown only to give an idea of scale, and is not included.)
