A pair of c.1930s advertising pencils with gold finish, each printed in black with the slogan "SPEND YOUR MONEY TWICE" / HOW ? / BY JOINING THE AMBLESIDE CO-OP", together with a transfer of the Co-operative "Labour and Wait" wheatsheaf logo, which is marked "BRIT. PAT. 295689". Both pencils are approximately 17.5cm (6.9in) long, and both have been sharpened (one with a penknife, the other with a sharpener); both have moderate age wear, one being crackled to much of the surface, the other being crackled to a lesser extent.
