Alfred J. Taylor, "The Roman Baths of Bath" (official guide, 1940)

"The Roman Baths of Bath", compiled by Alfred J. Taylor, published by authority of the Bath Corporation; this is the twelfth (1940) edition of a booklet first published in 1906.  The paper-covered booklet, which measures approximately 12 x 18.3cm, contains 64 pages plus a fold-out plan of the Roman Baths; there are several black and white illustrations, together with several advertisements for local businesses (including Harbutt's Plasticine of Bathampton).  The cover is very tatty and torn, with marks, discoloration and paper loss to one of the corners; there is some rust to the staples, and the pages are discoloured, some also being marked or spotted, although otherwise generally good.
