Alan Nichols, "Sons of Victory 1914-1918" (no date or publisher given).  Booklet with blue card cover, containing 36 pages (plus cover and endpapers) and measuring approximately 12.8 x 20.4cm (5.05 x 8.05in).  The author of this booklet was a soldier of the First World War who lost his sight and hands in an accident in 1916 whilst serving as a Bombing Instructor at South Shields; the booklet is "dedicated to the Memory of The Late Sir Arthur Pearson whose Monument is the abiding Hope he left in the hearts of blinded Soldiers", and contains anecdotes and reminiscences (including the author's course of training at St. Dunstan's) together with illustrations.  Although the British Library catalogue gives the date of publication as 1935, and the appearance of the booklet suggests a similar date, the author speaks of his life-changing accident as having taken place "thirty-four years ago", which suggests that it was in fact published around 1950.  There is some wear to the cover including fading / discoloration in places, scuffing and slight marking; the pages are yellowed with some foxing (mainly to the endpapers and centre pages), the odd pen mark and slight wear, and there is some rust to the staples.
