Alan Jay Lerner, "My Fair Lady: a musical play in two acts based on Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw" (Harmondsworth, Penguin Books Ltd, 1959, no. 1364). Paperback, containing 128 pages plus eight pages of photographs of the original stage production, and measuring approximately 11.2 x 18.1 x 1cm. This is a very good copy of the first Penguin edition of the libretto and lyrics of the famous musical (copyright 1956); the cover design is by Cecil Beaton, as are the photographs. Although there is some yellowing to the cover and spine and tanning to the pages, together with slight creasing and wear to the cover and bumping to the corners, the book is in very good condition for its age; indeed, the tightness of the binding suggests that this copy has never been read!
