Wood (London, Ian Allan Ltd, 1964).  Glazed pictorial board covers (no dustjacket), 64 pages, measuring approximately 14.1 x 22.1 x 1cm.  No. 1 in the "Inside Stories" series, this book provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the workings of the London Underground.  There are numerous (mostly very fine) scratches and some scuffs to the glossy surface of the cover; the pages are slightly yellowed with tanning and foxing to the edges, and there is an old pre-decimal price written in pencil to the inside front cover, the original printed price having been crossed out; the book is otherwise in good clean condition.
