Addis Shoe Shine Set (blue plastic) in original unopened blister pack, c.1950s (SOLD)

A 1950s or early 1960s vintage Addis Shoe Shine Set, in original unopened blister pack, consisting of three brushes with cornflower blue handles, marked in gold letters "I PUT ON POLISH", "I REMOVE MUD" and "I SHINE" respectively.  The brushes, the longer two of which measure approximately 17cm (6.7in) in length, have some small patches of yellowish discoloration; the clear plastic of the blister pack is somewhat battered in places and cracked near the top, whilst the backing card, which measures approximately 11.8 x 24cm (4.65 x 9.45in), has a blank price label stuck on near the top, together with some discoloration, marking, creasing, and bumping to the edges.
