A late Victorian or early 20th century souvenir china beaker, in white glaze with gilt rim, the words "A Present from the Isle of Wight" in fancy gilt lettering, and large handpainted design of pink and yellow roses, measuring approximately 9.3cm (3.65in) in height and 6.8cm (2.7in) in diameter at the top; the base bears a round printed "MADE IN BOHEMIA" stamp (which indicates that the piece dates from before 1919, at which time Bohemia became part of Czechoslovakia) together with a handpainted number. There is some age wear including a few light scratches and slight abrasion to the surface, considerable wear to the gilt rim, moderate wear to the gilt lettering, and wear and marking to the foot, although the painted decoration remains in good condition; there are some manufacturing imperfections including a glazed-over vertical fault line to the upper interior, slight roughness to the rim, and a few spot marks and pinholes together with some tiny bumps in the glaze.
