"A Present from Plymouth" souvenir china vase, c.1900-20

A twin-handled souvenir china vase, c.1900-20, with moulded decoration, heavy gilding to the front, and a small coloured transfer view with the words "A PRESENT FROM PLYMOUTH. / THE HOE & SHELTER".  The vase, which measures approximately 12.7cm (5in) in height, 9.5cm (3.75in) across from handle to handle, and 5.6cm (2.2in) deep, is stamped "Foreign" and "5" in red to the base.  There is slight to moderate wear to the gilt, together with slight wear to the transfer, some surface scratches and age marking to the base, and slight nibbling to the "teeth" at the top; there are some imperfections to the moulding, especially to the "teeth", whilst the interior is mostly unglazed (as is the base).
