A late Victorian or early 20th century souvenir china coal scuttle ornament, measuring approximately 8.5 x 4.9 x 5.6cm / 3.35 x 1.95 x 2.2in (including handles), in white glaze with handcoloured transfer floral and gilt decoration, and the words "A present from Bodmin" in fancy gilt lettering to one side; the base is marked with a round black printed "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp together with the number "2115" in gilt. There is slight wear to the decoration, together with a few very slight surface scratches and tiny spot marks, and age marking to the feet; there are some minor irregularities in the moulding, although the overall quality of the piece is good.
