Vintage pottery jug vase (possibly West German) in organic shape with sgraffito decoration, 1950s

A vintage pottery jug vase of typically 1950s organic style, possibly West German, measuring approximately 15cm (5.9in) in height and 5.8cm (2.3in) in diameter at the base, in matt dark grey-black finish with vertical sgraffito lines and spots of shiny glaze in blue, orange and yellow to the exterior, and glazed in white to the interior.  The base is impressed with a mark which appears to be a "TS" or "ST" monogram within a vase shape with the number 4053, which appears alongside two blue-black spots and a red printed "Foreign" stamp.  The external surface appears somewhat cloudy with various marks including what appears to be white paint, whilst there are a few nibbles to the outer edge of the foot.  This nevertheless remains a great functional piece of retro style!
