A 1950s fluted lemonade glass, measuring approximately 18cm (7.1in) in height and 8.4cm (3.3in) in diameter at the top, in clear glass with gilt rim and a very typically 1950s transfer and gilt design; we have eight of these glasses, in various colours, for sale individually (as numbered in the secondary photos). The design of glass no. 1 is a pattern of circles (some with tails), whilst the rest have a design of rounded triangles; although the design of most of the glasses is a mixture of transfer and gilt, that of glasses 5 and 6 is entirely in colour transfer, the gilt being confined to the rim. All have some wear to the gilt of the rim (that of no. 4 is very worn, whilst that of no. 6 has little wear); nos. 1 and 4 have some wear to the decoration, but that of the others is in very good condition for their age. No. 3 has a deep scratch (about 1.2cm / 0.45in in length) near the top, and some of the others have a few light scratches, but there are no chips or cracks, although there are some manufacturing irregularities in the glass.
