An 18-page educational booklet entitled "1000 Years of Houses", published by the Building Societies Association with the aim of encouraging young people to consider home ownership. The booklet, which measures approximately 22.5 x 14.9cm (8.85 x 5.85in), gives a brief history of housing in Britain, together with information about the history and purpose of building societies; it is undated but appears to be late 1960s or early 1970s judging by the style of the "contemporary" home illustrated. There is some creasing, bumping, slight discoloration and marking, and general age wear.
